The SS II factory option was offered from 1977 to 1979 and featured soft top and soft door only option which included a specifically engineered fiberglass door surround to house the soft doors. This added an extra edge to the already known and sought after International Scout.
The 1979 International Scout SS II offered here is an unrestored vehicle with few modifications. It sports one repaint on a rust free body, retains much of its original interior and features a remarkably solid frame, undercarriage and core structure. The truck is powered by a 345 CID V8 fed by a Thermoquad 4-Barrel carburetor. Power is transferred via an automatic transmission and applied by Internationals part time 4wd system. This Scout SS II also features power steering, power brakes, a stainless steel roll cage, new top and soft doors, newer paint, stainless steel headers and exhaust, 2 inch spring over lift, aluminum wheels with newer tires and a slick stainless steel rear bumper that houses an air tank fed by an A/C compressor.
