Scout has original 345 V8 727 Torqueflite AUTOMATIC. Dana axels with 104 thousand miles. Dual exhaust. Doesn't knock, smoke, or leak. New fuel lines and fuel filters. It's got reinforced heavy duty steel bumpers and a heavy duty tow package. Rebuilt carburetor and transfer case. New electronic Hamilton Fuel Injection TBI system for a smooth ride. New plugs, wires, hoses, and seals. New brake pads, filters, fuses, and ignition switch. New coolant and full flush. AM FM cassette player. As you can see from the pictures, it has original stock caps. It was recently re-sprayed back to it's original color. New tires added with less than 500 miles on them. Scout was garage-kept in the dry west until relocating east a few years ago.
Interior is original with bucket seats and a console. Tilt steering wheel, cruise control, power steering, power front disk brakes. Air conditioning system, but it is missing its compressor and not currently operational. The seams on the bucket seats show wear and tears, as does the front dash. The back seat is in average condition with some small tears. The carpet, rear mat and door panels are in fair shape. Needs windshield wiper motor. Rear hatch door latch recently was replaced, but next owner may want to change to different locking mechanism.
The work on this Scout has been under the hood, and it is a fun ride. The interior was the next project, so the next owner can decide whether to stick with all of these original interior parts or customize it with new interior.
