1926 International - $6,500 - Sacramento, CA -

Offered for Sale by the California Automobile Museum

This 1926 International truck with a grain binder bed is very complete but is a project vehicle and does not run. This truck has a clean California Title.

We now offer financing

Exterior

The body is complete with all sheet metal intact. The fenders and running boards are pretty straight and seem to be solid. The doors feel solid and they do latch closed. There is some rust on the lower left side of the cowl (pictured). Both pieces of the windshield glass are cracked on the driver's side. The door glass is complete. The wood grain binder bed is complete but there are some pieces of the wood that are deteriorating. It appears that there is some surface rust on the edges of the visor and also around belt line of the cab.

Interior

The vinyl wrapped seat cushions are complete. The wood floor is all there but one of the frames has started to come apart on the one that goes around the shifter. The dash board has 3 gauges, the odometer-speedo gauge is complete and looks to be in good condition and the oil pressure gauge is complete as well, the amp gauge glass is broken. The steering wheel is complete. The wood on the inside of the cab looks to be fairly solid and sturdy. The B-pillars are a bit loose though. The windows in the doors do roll up and down.

Mechanical

All of the mechanical components look to be intact and complete. This truck has sat for quite some time and does not run. The engine does turn over by hand. We did not attempt to try to start it. The transmission shifter moves through the gears without binding. This International does have the 2 speed rear end as well. All of the wheels on the truck are complete but the right rear tire's tube will not hold air. The truck rolls freely as the right rear tire is sitting on a dolly.

In the bed of the truck are 2-complete engines, 1-transmission (attached to one of the engines) one front axle with hubs attached and one rear end with the 2 speed differential mounted. There is also what looks like 2 running boards as well. I have also taken pictures of the 2-engine tags that are located in the bed.

Overview

Although this International Harvester truck is complete it is going to be a project for someone. The engine in the truck has a date of June 1929 but the truck is registered as a 1926.
