This KB Series 49 International 3/4 ton panel truck was recently purchased in Hershey PA. The previous owner had purchased it at the same venue in 2006. He claimed it had spent its whole life in PA. This unrestored original example has only 60,844 actual miles. The engine is a 314 cu. in. L-6 flathead 6 cyl. that is referred to as the "green diamond". It produced 83hp @3400rpm and 160lbs of ft. torque at 1200rpm. While peak torque seems low, consider that the KB idled at only 350rpms. KB means 3/4 series, a heavier suspension and springs. 6.50-16" 4 ply wide white bias ply tires with factory steel color keyed wheels. Original ribbed stainless trim ring and International center caps. Period fender mounted turn signals, beautiful barrel shaped front grille, stainless trim that shows excellent through out. Chrome headlight bezels that have NO pitting. The front and rear chrome bumpers are overall in fantastic condition. The exterior body has had only 1 single repaint back in the mid 70s and is considered excellent with no signs or rust or repairs. Straight body panels, orig. rust free fenders and running boards. Completely orig. glass with crank out 2 piece split windshield. Cab cowl vent, orig. chrome door hardware, orig. weather-strip and window felts that are in super nice condition. Dual mounted side view mirrors, dual wipers, heater, 4 way flashers, and a single sun visor. Orig. bucket seat coachwork, perfect orig. steering wheel, brilliant instrument cluster with orig. paint through out the entire interior of the truck. Interior dash lights as well as the cargo light in the rear. Solid orig. wood floor planking, also with orig. paint spare tire with jack and tools are there in a stow away place below the passengers side floor board. The cab has that utilitarian look and the style of a pre-war vehicle, even though its a later model. This 1949 KB2 is an extremely solid orig. truck that appears to be completely orig. and pampered its whole life. Great novelty or advertisement for any company, very collectible and considered a great investment. Shows well and drives really nice. Truly, a rare find in this condition, below market value, and a great advertising tool.
