***THIS IS NOT AN INTERNATIONAL, IT IS A DARLEY FIRETRUCK (THE WEBSITE DOES NOT HAVE DARLEY AS A MAKE)***
It is our pleasure to present this unique, one-of-a-kind classic fire engine for consideration. This 1955 Darley Fire Truck was originally used at the Peoria State Hospital in Peoria, IL. It then transferred ownership to the Poll family of Holland, MI hence the “Pollville Fire Dept.” signage on the doors. Every surface of this truck has been restored and made to look original.
The chassis was assembled by Available Truck Co. of Chicago, IL and the entire truck was originally put together by W.S. Darley & Co. of Melrose Park, IL. This was their first and only attempt at a fire engine, making this example truly an original truck. It is powered by a Waukesha 6-Cylinder 145hp gas engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. It is equipped with the proper lights, working sirens, and an impressive 750 GPM water pump.
This truck has been and will continue to be the talk of any car show and/or parade. It is the perfect way to attract wandering eyes and would make a great vehicle for any business to use as a promotional tool. The truck drives extremely well and starts up on command. This is a great investment and well worth the asking price. All build documentation is also available. Call or e-mail for more information. See more at http://www.grautogallery.com/details.php?id=1077
