The frame is perfect and coated (see photos), the body panels all line up seamlessly and there is no rust. Fresh carpet is throughout; the Rallye striping is fresh and perfectly applied. All chrome and trim is OEM and in great shape. The wheels are aluminum by Ultra and give the Scout and very tough look, without being too large or obnoxious. We do have the factory hard-top (White), which is included in the sale.
The suspension is a Rancho setup with an additional 2.5 inches of clearance. Everything is tight and the ride is compliant. No play from the power steering and super strong power brakes. This is the rare vintage truck that you can have confidence to drive anywhere at anytime.
While in our possession we have replaced the fuel sending unit, rebuilt the parking brake mechanism, installed a Bestop Bikini Top, changed the oil, installed a Kenwood CD/MP3 Stereo and pre-wired the truck for speakers. All systems are fully functioning and this truck is ready to go. The entire engine and power train have been rebuilt and are in new condition. The motor purrs and has a very muscular tone with dual Flowmaster exhaust. The 4-Speed trans shifts very smoothly and the clutch is strong. There is plenty of getty up for being the smaller 304 V8.
The entire drive-train is like new and so is the body and frame. There are very few original parts and those are the interior parts that are all in great original condition. The front seats are aftermarket and are finished in a waterproof material, similar to that of Jeeps.
