PLEASE READ REGARDING CLASSIC CARS!
We do not recommend driving a classic car home.
Old cars are just that, old cars. You need to ship it home. Out on the road, many miles from home is not the place to get familiar with your old car. Obviously we cannot stop you, but this is our recommendation.
Mileage is Exempt.
Unless we have some documentation we always sell classic cars as mileage exempt. That means we do not know the original miles. What we list in the ad is what the odometer currently reads or is based off rebuild information of the engine and or body/chassis. Also, you cannot do a Carfax or Autocheck on any VEHICLE older than a 1981.
You have to call us with any questions. If you email several questions we will tell you to call. If you are serious about buying a vehicle, you need to call us.
Old cars are Old cars.
We do our very best to accurately describe every vehicle we sell and represent them with 100% integrity. We take a lot of time testing what works, and what doesnt. The description is accurate at its current state. Please note that occasionally old cars can have anything quit working at any time. Vehicle is sold As is with no warranty.
At our dealership we work very hard to accurately describe our vehicles through text descriptions and elaborate photos. When you purchase a pre-owned vehicle it is not a new vehicle. Any used vehicle can have normal wear and blemishes. Before placing a bid please read the descriptions thoroughly and view all pictures.

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this exceptional 1978 International Scout II clad in original Siam Yellow. This truck has been recently and very nicely restored; paint quality is excellent and all panels are straight with good gaps. New woodgrain applique matches the original pattern. All glass was pulled for paint; window and door seals, gaskets, weather-stripping and even the body mounts are new. Steel wagon wheels are new, as are 31x10.50 Firestone all-terrain tires. It's one of the cleanest and crispest Scout restorations we have seen.
The undercarriage is in very good original condition. The floor pans and inner rockers still have their factory-applied finish; there is a patina appropriate for the truck's age, but there are no known structural rust issues or rot anywhere.
The interior is very nice with new-old-stock seat upholstery and carpet. Door panels, dash and headliner are excellent. All accessories are working with the exception of cruise and the original factory radio (although we like that the dash has not been cut up for a modern unit); the horn button has been relocated to the underside of the dash.
Under the hood is a 345 cubic inch V8 with an Edelbrock four-barrel carb. The engine recently underwent a top-end rebuild, at which time it was also repainted. The engine bay is very nicely detailed. Power steering and power front disc brakes make this example very easy and comfortable to drive, and I am particularly fond of its Warner Gear four-speed manual transmission. Mileage, at 117,163, is believed to be original.

1977 International Scout II 1977 International Scout II

This 1977 International Scout II is a very original, low mileage example with a great stock look. It has been repainted only once in correct Glacier Blue; paint quality is excellent. Panels are remarkably straight with good gaps and the door alighment is among the best I have seen on a vintage Scout. Original paint is still under the hood. Bumpers, grille, trim, glass and rubbers are in very good condition. Tires are brand new period-correct whitewalls on original steel wheels with factory hubcaps in great shape.
The interior is completely original and is one of the best preserved Scout II interiors we have seen. The dash is in excellent condition -- the pad on top has no cracks, the woodgrain looks factory fresh and all of the gauges are clear (and working). Door panels and headliner are also excellent. The original Wedgwood blue plaid interior is also in great shape -- the only flaw is a slight crack in the vinyl on the side of the driver's seat bottom. Even the original vinyl floor covering is still in good condition. A homemade center console predates the availability of aftermarket bolt-in units; it could easily be removed or replaced.
Under the hood is a 304 cubic inch V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The mileage, at just over 36,000, is believed to be original based on documentation and the incredible original condition of the interior. The truck has power steering and power brakes. All service is up to date and it just received a new clutch (the clutch was not worn out, but the pilot bearing was seizing -- a function of time, not mileage). It starts, runs and drives beautifully -- steering, brakes and transmission fel great. It's one of the best driving Scouts we've had.
The truck's only flaw is the underside. We are not sure why the floor pans had to be replaced, given the low mileage -- but at some point they were. And instead of welding in new pans, a previous owner bolted them in. Instead of a clean weld bead, there are rows upon rows of hundreds of little bolts holding the floors together. As you would expect, there is surface rust -- but we could not find any soft spots or rust-through in any of the pans or rockers.
The floors were repaired many years ago and they are still quite solid and structurally sound. There is no abnormal chassis flex or creaks (this example feels remarkbly smooth, solid and rattle free compaired to most). The truck can be driven indefinitely as it is -- and given how nice the topside is, it represents a great value given the substantial pricing discount we are offering.
