1979 International Scout II - $22,900 - Atlanta, GA -

This nicely restored 1979 International Scout II has a great look and great options including a V8, automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes and cold a/c.

The truck was repainted three years ago in Embassy Gray with an Arctic White hard top; paint quality is excellent and the finish has held up very well. Panels are straight with good gaps and good door alignment; glass, bumpers, grille and trim are in excellent condition. The windshield, hard top seals and door weatherstripping were replaced when the truck was painted. The inside of the tub was professionally rhino lined at the same time. Floor pans and rockers are original and do have normal surface rust and scale, but there is no known rust-through; cab supports and mounts are solid. The truck has a two-inch body lift (with new bushings three years ago). Alloy wheels with nearly new 31x10.50 Kelly Safari TSR tires complete the look.

The interior shows well with factory front bucket seats and a center console. The dash is particularly nice with no cracks in the upper pad; gauges are clear and working and the decals on both the main dash and the a/c unit are new reproductions. The interior has a very correct, unmolested feel with a stock steering wheel in very good condition and the factory AM radio still in the dash (which does not work, but the dash has not been cut so we recommend hiding a modern head unit in the glove box or center console to preserve the stock look). Heater and A/C controls work properly and this Scout has the coldest A/C of any I've driven. Line-setting ticket and factory manuals are in the glove box. The truck has a roll bar already installed and comes with a bikini top should you ever wish to pull the hard top.

Under the hood is a 345 cubic inch V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. This Scout is very nicely detailed in the engine compartment and includes many new or rebuilt components. The truck has recently seen a new battery, alternator, starter, solenoid, relay, belts, hoses, brake booster, master cylinder, re-cored radiator and rebuilt four-barrel Edelbrock carb. The A/C retains a period-correct under-dash unit inside the cab, but the condenser and compressor are new, running R134a, and the system blows cold. The steering box has been rebuilt and Super Scout's straight steer brace has been added. The truck starts, runs and drives great and all tune-up and service items are up to date.

1953 International - $26,995 - Atlanta, GA - This 1953 International is the kind of truck that'll have people doing double-takes all day. One most folks have probably never seen one and two it manages to keep its trucky personality while getting a nice dose of comfort and convenience features not to mention a great-running Chevy V8. International gave their trucks a distinctive look that fans will recognize instantly. The low wide grille would endure for almost two decades setting these trucks apart from their more common competitors. International Harvesters were built as tools but someone found the beauty in the design and covered it in burgundy metallic paint that makes it look far more upscale than its original price tag would indicate. Most of the trim was painted to match the body including the grille and bumpers but almost all the original components are still in place right down to the cool release handles on either side of the unusual lift-off hood. The dramatic wood bed features a built-in tool box that hides a fuel cell inside plus a matching tailgate with a big International emblem on it leaving no doubt as to what kind of pickup this is. Other trick details include the split rear window a rear roll pan and tri-bar fog lamps up front just ahead of the mesh grille. There's not a lot of bright trim but the stuff it carries like the IH emblem on the grille the side mirrors running board step plates and the door handles are all in surprisingly good shape after all these years. No factory International Harvester in history was as comfortable and luxurious as the cab in this awesome pickup. With a pair of handsome gray buckets from a late-model a fabricated center console and carpets on the floors it's plush and quiet instead of crude and workmanlike as it was originally. The original dash and steering wheel are in place and that long shifter lever was probably part of the package when it was new but is now cleverly adapted to a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. White-faced Auto Meter gauges are set into a genuine wood instrument panel that matches the bed and there are custom enclosures under the dash for both the Vintage Air A/C system and the AM/FM/CD stereo head unit. A custom center console features a padded arm rest and a pair of cup holders and getting behind the wheel of this truck actually feels quite modern not ancient. Lift off the hood and you'll find a nicely-dressed 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 for motive power. Nothing exotic just reliable horsepower that's easy to service and with plentiful parts everywhere you go. An Edelbrock 4-barrel carb and intake live up top along with chrome valve covers and air cleaner plus a big aluminum radiator up front. A custom front clip from Fatman Fabrication offers power rack-and-pinion steering a coil-over suspension and disc brakes so it tracks straight and true on the highway and feels very polished at speed. Out back there's a Chevy 10-bolt rear end hanging on what might be the original leaf springs and a custom dual exhaust system was fabbed up to give it a muscular soundtrack. Classic steel wheels with International hubcaps and trim rings plus fat Goodyear radials give it an understated yet undeniably muscular stance. An unusual pickup that becomes something altogether unique with a few tasteful upgrades. We know International fans love their trucks so this is a rare opportunity to get a well-built machine that you won't see at every show. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom. 1950 International - $6,200 - Mogadore, OH -

I have a 1950 L-160 2 ton International truck.  This very rare cab has hidden hinges.  The cabs were only built like that for one year.  This truck is in excellenct original condition and runs like a watch.  This was a pumper truck and only has 3,900 original miles on it.  It has original interior, heater, and tires and much more.  If you are looking for a truck that you have to do minimal work on and just paint it and go, this is the truck for you.  I would drive it anywhere.  Title and all paperwork is available.  If you have a small business, this would be excellent to drive around with advertising on it.  It really catches the eye, as well as being just a good old truck.
